How do you feel about the EDIT POST feature?

• Useful and necessary?
- or -
• "Back-peddling" way out? lol

In a perfect world, I'd rather not. It gives the original post more believability and substance when the post remains original from the start.

Yet, as much as I attempt to proof pre-post, for one reason or another I often end up having to add/remove content, correct a typo' or realize I just said something that sounds really dumb (O.K., no jokes now!) :D

I hate when that happens. :o

There is a time limit where you can go back and fix the mistakes that you did on your post, I can't remember what that time limit is. After that time has expired you can't change the post, but I suppose you could post a response to it saying what was wrong with it.

and this is one reason admin wants us to use it; to prevent too many un neccessary individual posts. Ya notice how admin combines posts by one person within one thread?

Psst ... Pomai ... it's "pedaling."

OK, I can't sleep, so I'm nitpicking on HT. Sorry!

How the heck did I get that other "L" in there? Must have been late.
See what I mean.. I hate it when that happens! :o

Nitpicking accepted. One of my biggest self-inflicted peeves are making spelling errors (next to misplacing my car keys. lol).

God Bless "post edit". :)

IMO, the only time its proper to use the edit function for posts older than 2 hours, is in the classified section, or if we have a picture thread and you want to update your picture.
