Scanning through MidWeek The Weekend last night and on page 55 noticed a huge display ad for "Kapono's" New Years Eve party, the last event before "Kapono's" closes its doors for good. Among the performers scheduled to appear, according to the ad, is Ledwood Kaapana.
Uh... LedWOOD?!?!
Come on. What brain surgeon missed that typo? The ad presumably was created by someone on Kapono's staff or at an ad agency. And LedWARD has been a star performer weekly at "Kapono's" for how many years? One of our best and brightest Hawaiian musicians, misspelled in the final blowout ad for one of Oahu's top music venues. Even the MidWeek account exec who sold the ad space should've caught it.
