I can cut and paste song titles out of iTunes and into AppleWorks and then as plain text to be pasted here. Not too hard. I love doing lists of my favorite songs, movies, things.

This thread cracks me up.

I doubt highly that a replica thread will occur based on other bands from the 70's, such as Bread. Or Air Supply.

<waits for someone to bust out all those nifty lyrics from songs like "If">

What's wrong with da song, "If?" I love da song...I still do!

Auntie Lynn

...If a picture paints a thousand words
then why can't I paint you
The words could never show
the you I've come to know
...If a man could launch a thousand ships
then where am I to go
theres no one home but you
you're all that's left me to
And when my love for life is running dry
you come and pour yourself on me
...If a girl could be two places at one time
I'd be with you, tomarrow and today
Beside you all the way
Then one by one the stars would all go out
Then you and I, could simply run AWAY...

Mel,
You have a great selection of Three Dog Night songs. I really love "Sunlight". One that you did not list and a favorite of mine is "Out in the Country".

Sing an "Old Fashion Love Song" to the "Family of Man" since "Eli's Coming". Though you may be "One" or a "One Man Band" "Out in the Country" find "Shambala".

P.S.- "I've Never Been To Spain".

It's "Easy to be Hard", but one reason why I never have "Out in the Country" on my list is that it did not get enough plays this year to break into the top 20. I have 73 songs in my Three Dog Night library. They do have more as I don't have all the album tracks in there and certainly don't have all their albums on CD nor LP. I still like "Going in Circles" playing selections from my Three Dog Night collection and more. Music from the 1960s and 70s were the best IMHO.

Have a great new year everybody!

I liked listening to their songs, and slow dancing to it when I was 15-16. ;)
At that age, I guess empty nutritionless junk appealed to me - must not have known any better, because I also ate empty nutritionless junk food, too. But, as one gets older, tastes change. I liked Three Dog Night in my teens, but I think I appreciate them even better now.

Aunty Lynn, doesn't this song bring back memories of romance and idealism? And the cute boys we danced with? Wonder what happened to them? Sigh...those were the good ole days. No matter, though, 'cause we're still beautiful and sexy!

Play something sweet
Play something mellow
Play something I can sink my teeth in like jello
Play something I can understand
Play me some Brickyard Blues...

Ahhhh, now I understand.
