Does anyone fix someone's computer who uses P2P software?

The thing is, that my friend who lives with us does, and every other week, he bugs me to remove a virus that his antivirus scanner detected and other stuff that is deemed illegal. I keep on telling him that since he complains about this stuff, to stop the P2P downloading and set his account as a limited user to prevent software from installing, but he says that I can do it everytime.

We got into an argument about what's ethical and whatnot and he was giving me all of this nonsense about how its okay and stuff. I then got to a point where I almost snapped at him but I realized what I was doing, so I just left the area to cool down.

Did I handle the situation correctly? Should I continue to clean his computer after he downloads all of those things infecting his computer? How would you handle it?

Teach him how to clean up his own 'puter if he's going to keep down loading.

Then tell him you aren't his baby-sitter or tech-nanny, if he wants to keep taking chances he needs to learn how to clean up after himself.

How would you handle it?

I would say "Sorry man. I don't agree with what you're doing. I can't help you with this problem anymore." Done.

Next time do what I do to people who get on my nerves about fixing there computer all there time....

Tell them they got a "super" virus and that it's not fixable. Tell them they need to replace the PSP w/ a new one.

this may keep him from downloading in the future.
