Human United Against Robots or HAUR (http://www.humansunitedagainstrobots.com/) are a group of people who believe that one day robots will take over the world. They have some very interesting points on technology is getting out of hand (http://dsc.discovery.com/news/briefs/20051219/awarerobot_tec.html?source=rss) . Call me nuts, but I'm a believer, give a man enough rope and he will hang himself. ;)

There's no doubt artificial beings that we create will eventually overthrow and destroy us. Science fiction films have been predicting such since forever!

My personal favorite nightmare scenario is the "grey goo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gray_goo)" threat. Nanobots -- molecular robots -- replicate so fast, they literally smother the planet. Whee!
