Family Tree Maker, IMHO is the best, have used it for the last 10 years.

I've used Brother's Keeper for a long time. It does the job for me.

I tried to use Family Tree Maker. But after getting hit up for what seemed like and endless series of upgrades, which of course came via a thick stack of CDs every time, I kind of gave up.

Maybe the setup is a lot less klunky now, but it always felt to me like a Windows 98 native product that was being painfully ground up to function, just barely, in a 2000/XP world. But this was, well, five years ago at least.

I use Gene, old Macintosh classic software, to produce this:

Are you on there?? :)

(Link at the bottom of the page).

Works fine in Classic mode.
