Aloha Everyone,

I wuz home [wahiawa] this past holidays and my brother picked up a couple pounds of "pipi kaula" from Tamura's Market. Made from pastrami instead of the traditional dried beef. It is really ono and the jalapenos in it makes it a awesome pupu.

Does anyone know what the recipe is?

Hui Mauiguru: I am a Maui girl, stuck in Seattle at the moment. By pastrami instead of traditional dried beef, do you mean the deli kine pastrami or the cut of meat?

Here's a pastrami (http://www.razzledazzlerecipes.com/cooking/pastrami.htm) recipe. They use brisket.

thanks sistah for the infoh. this is cut up pastrami and I think it is marinated but the fresh jalapenos in it gives it's real flavor.
