Aloha Friends,

I wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Matthew Gray. Many of you might know my name because I was the Restaurant Reviewer and Food Writer for The Honolulu Advertiser newspaper for many years.

I know that HawaiiThreads is not a commercial place, but I wanted to share with you what I'm doing now. My new company is called Hawaii Food Tours (http://www.HawaiiFoodTours.com) and we offer three different guided restaurant tours in and around Honolulu.

Eating is such a social and primal part of our lives. "Breaking bread" together allows us to learn a lot about others. Every day I have the wonderful blessing to escort locals and visitors around our great city on these tours.

I'd love for you to experience what I offer and I'm happy to offer a big kama'aina discount to anyone who mentions HawaiiThreads, ok?

Welcome to HawaiiThreads.com, Matthew. I hope you don't mind, but I've moved your introduction to Hawaii Food Tours to the "Selling" forum, which is the closest appropriate place for posts of a commercial nature.

You're obviously no slouch when it comes to food talk, so I do hope you remain a part of the HawaiiThreads.com community, and join some of the conversation in "Kaukau Korner (http://www.hawaiithreads.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7)," our food forum. You'll find lots of other foodies there, including a few you might recognize... such as another food writer from HawaiiDiner.com!

I was thinking the same thing! Just makes ya wonder which rack to salivate over huh? I mean, not me, I'm just a very confident boring hetero married Mom, hahahaha.

Welcome Matthew. I've always enjoyed your columns and live vicariously through food writers.
