View Full Version : Just a thought...

I know majority of you drive & possibly have a 4 door...
Don't laugh, but I didn't know this before (seeing as I don't drive at all)....
(This is a pretty neat trick ;)
Each side of the car is completely different (if you were to put a letter design on your car & then you will realize this).
Just imagine this.....
You will be putting your name on the side of your car, so will start on the driver's side, ofcourse you will probably have to paint with the first letter of your name on the driver's side. Now the first letter of your name starts on the left, (as always), but if you look at it, it starts from the first door which is near the first front left tire side of your car right?
Now you will be painting (on a hypothetical note) you name on the other side of your car, which your first letter of your name will end up on your left right side back door near back tire of your car on the passenger side.
Now, if you actually tried to put your name starting on the right front door side near the back tire of your front right tire, you would be spelling it backwards. :p
Pretty neat, huh?. Did you know that you can't do the same thing on both sides (or any sides)?. (I know that in the real world, who would be on the right mind to do it, huh? unless you are a race car driver).
I just thought that it was a pretty neat trick which I didn't know before.
You might say, I woke up & smelled the gasoline. :p LOL.
If you any of you have any cool idea(s) that you didn't know before, & you just found out, post it. Or anything else you would like to post here is fine.
P.S. I know that it is alot of reading, but you just need alot of imagination along with your car, or just your kid's toy car(s) as a prop to figure this one out on what I am describing.
Aloha.

Where's "the back tire of your front right tire"? :p I have absolutely no idea what you're saying. That the two sides of a car aren't identical? And thus the same image or lettering can't be applied to both?
Er. Okay. Here's one: Did you know that if you paint a word on your hood backwards, it'll look fine to the driver of the car in front of you as viewed through the rear-view mirror? Try it with the word "AMBULANCE." Or "EMERGENCY"!
Science is fun!

Here's my old VW Van again. I really miss her or maybe it is just those early, easy days gone by...
It says on the driver's side...
THE FLYING PISCES SAILS FOR TIME
and on the other side...
AND HE BEGS FOR JUST A SMILE
Yeah, yeah I know. What a Hippie. ;)

Yeah, I saw that on those ambulance vans. It is a pretty neat trick, just by looking at it through the mirror & seeing/reading it correctly.

I got lost after I read "imagine this".
Is there a purpose for this, or are you just thinking out loud?

Just a thought... What is Truth?
kimo55
April 18th, 2006, 02:06 PM
truth is not absolute. It is subjective. Look at all the religions of the world. Everyone has their own truth. many overlap. Many run in diametrical opposition. Tom's truth is not Dick's truth is not Harry's truth. So leave each to their own truth.
facts are different
and facts are straight
Facts are lazy and facts are late
Facts all come with points of view
Facts don’t do what I want them to
Facts just twist the truth around
Facts are living turned inside out...

Right on Kimo! I agree with the idea that truth is subjective and different to different people.
To that end, what seems ignorant to some may be the acceptable and correct assumption to others. Sharing differing views is conversation, while saying another's viewpoint is ignorant, is verbal bullying to try and force that person's opinion onto the other.
I have strong opinions that I believe in and state them, if someone decides they don't agree, so be it. Hopefully persons involved in the communication listened to eachother and then made their decision. We all have our bias' from what our parents taught us, from what we've seen/learned in life, and just what we individually think.
Truth?

:o :p

Yeah, I had a realization about something. LOL.
And also for anyone else who want to add more to this thread, then that's fine, cool, & dandy aswell. :)
I figure, it's something to post if any of you have a thought to share for everyone here & to post it.
And thanks for your input. :)
Gotta go again.
bye for now.
P.S. "Just a thought", have any of you seen the movie called: The Ride?
It is a really cool movie. Should rent it out & watch it.
I would explain more, but that would mean that I might end up bringing this to the section: "The Tube or The Big Picture". :p
You just need to research this yourself in the internet for yahoo movies. ;)
Aloha.

Brah, I am trying to buy one of those, right now! I'm about to give up my Nissan truck so I can get a 67 or earlier VW bus, preferably a camper!
Retro, baby!
