Sam Choy's Kaloko

Hey guys,

Moving back to the Big Island and was wondering if Sam Choys in Kona was still there? Craving for the beef stew.

Apparently it doesn't exist anymore, at least under his ownership. His corporate website lists only 3 Sam Choy Restaurants (http://www.samchoy.com/restaurants.html), 2 in Honolulu and one on Guam. There used to be a Sam Choy Restaurant in Kahului, too, but it went under after about 2 years because the food was too high muckamucka and expensive for the people who frequent Kaahumanu Center. Its replacement, Ruby's Diner, is doing much much better in this location.
