From Honolulu to the North Shore and even up in the corners that we snuck off to in the car. It even worked on Tantalus Mountain!!

My company phone is Nextel... I dont pay the bill so I wouldnt know. All I know is theyre expensive. Rumor is that Hawaii Nextel is struggling and they will be offering free phone and will buy you out of your current contract with whoever you have it with now... dunno maybe theyre offering it now.

We still have a family plan with T-Mobile on a month to month (since we didnt relock into a new contract). Also, I think the phone has a lot to do with reception since she can now get reception with her new phone in places she couldnt before.

We've had many, many threads on cell phone service providers. "Best" is relative, and you're going to get lots of different answers.

See also:There have also been threads on specific carriers and their coverage in specific areas.
