  • Vietnam: Winners? losers?

For over 30 years the liberal media has preached Vietnam as "The First War America Lost."

    Facts, from:
    http://www.historyplace.com/unitedst...ndex-1969.html
    1. Last US ground combat troops left August 27, 1972.
    2. Paris Peace Accords were signed January 27, 1973.
    3. March 29, 1973, all US troops except embassy guards left Vietnam.
    4. March 10, 1975 the NVA re-invade the South.
    5. April 30, 1975 - Fall of Saigon.

The American War ended in March 1973. A second (civil) war began in March 1975, almost two years later, culminating in the fall of the South.

Frankly, when I look at Vietnam, I feel there were no winners; everyone lost something, and the South Vietnamese lost more than anyone (in one day in 1975 the NVA massacred over 155,000 SVN civilians). I feel that the facts of the matter are continually and deliberately being distorted.
