    Meet the Robinsons

    Saw Meet the Robinsons at Ward Theater today (3rd movie of the day).

    It was an enjoyable movie that included time travel, science fair, villians with out a clue, kooky good guys and a henceman with a big head and small arms that can not reach for the target.

    They also included a Mickey Mouse cartoon before the movie started.

      No it's not, both screens at Ward Theater are not showing the 3-D version.

        I wonder if my boys would sit through it? Did it have much music??
        Since when is psycho a bad thing??

          Looks like Dole is the only theater complex showing this movie in the new Disney Digital 3D.

          I think I'll go check this out.....

            We didn't see it in 3-D, but we liked it anyway. Some great visuals, and nice hat-tips to other movies.

            My wife liked it a lot more than I thought she would, and probably more than I did. It was kind of a "kitchen sink" film for Disney, so jam packed with gags and fast-talking quips that it was almost tiring to keep up. But I'm a sucker for time-travel sci-fi, and for a Disney flick, "Meet the Robinsons" had some nice twists. Like "Back to the Future" for tots. I wonder how younger kids process them?

            They really wanted to show off the technology (asserting, I like to imagine, that they could live without Pixar in the family if they had to), but fortunately the story wasn't bad at all.

              My girlfriend and her friend went to see it in 3-D at Dole's Regal Theater the other day. They were quite blown away by the realism of how the characters and other special effects jumped off the screen, saying some parts had you physically reacting by moving or ducking out of the way.

              The 3D glasses costs $2 extra over the movie ticket, which are yours to keep. They're different than the old school blue and red lensed paper glasses. Instead, they're these black framed plastic "nerd" looking glasses with CLEAR polarized lenses.

              If the reviews here turn out overall favorable, I may recycle her 3-D glasses and have a look for myself.
