  • The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Albert and I saw the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button this morning at the Ward Theater.

It's about a person named Benjamin Button who is born old, who then ages backward and dies many years later as a baby.

It's a strange movie, to me I think the more interesting parts of the movie was not Benjamin himself but rather the people he encountered and their stories made the movie interesting.

I've not seen this movie but, during a party last night attended by local filmmakers, it was interesting to listen to those who had seen it. They loved it! Raved about it, even!

I read the short story about 9 years ago, and HAD to see it. Awesome movie, a little lull in the middle, but great.

My hubby & I saw that movie yesterday, he liked it, although I thought it was a rather sad movie on some parts (without actually giving it away).

I personally, would NOT wish it on anyone if it bacame a reality to anyone at all.

Although, I must admit, the make up was great, & so believable .

The actors/actresses who were old in the movie, looked so real.

They really did a great job in the make up parts. Thumbs up to that!!.

Oh yeah, by the way, too....

I felt bad for the older gentleman who got struck by lightning 7 times , but he lived (to grow old), atleast. lol.

Which is more of a creepy image, Benjamin Button as an old man or the dancing baby on Ally McBeal?

He was one of the more interesting characters of the movie and the manner of how his story was told was pretty good even though it was kind of tragic in a sense, but there was no mention of how he passed away in the movie.

Yeah, you are right about that. I asked that same question to my hubby, & he said that, it wasn't about the gentleman that got struck by lightning, it was mainly about Benjamin Button how he lived & died .

Re: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Despite the always delightful presence of Brad Pitt, I thought this was one of the most boring films I've ever seen.

Pitt did a brilliant job of portraying a man at many different stages of his life, but was that life really worth such a detailed and lengthy examination?

The editors were asleep at the wheel on this one, and I agree with the critic in the Weekly who said it could have been half an hour shorter. At least.
