Re: Hawaii TV News Anchors and Reporters - Book 4

That's a little shock because didn't she just get her meteorology degree? Though, I wish her well on her future endeavor(s).

Re: Hawaii TV News Anchors and Reporters - Book 4

Yes, she is. But I thought I heard before that she's not living in Hawaii anymore ever since been laid off from the KGMB/KHNL/KFVE merger. Not sure.

Here's his good-bye segment/video from KDVR on May 24th. Looks like he will do very well here... considering he's from Hawaii, as told from the video.

Hawaii TV News Anchors and Reporters - Book 4

I know there were threads in the past discussing "Hawaii TV news anchors and reporters." I just wanted to start a new one, since this topic hasn't been refreshed in such a long time.

I noticed a...

Re: KITV 4 News

Pamela has been doing weekends ever since Gary Sprinkle (aka her husband) left KITV in late December 2009. I think she was just probably filling-in for Paula Akana.

Re: KGMB - KHNL - KFVE "shared services agreement"

My opinion: I think the evening anchor line-up on Hawaii News Now should be revamped. Instead of Dan Cooke doing the weather in the mornings, they should put him somewhere in the evenings as one of...

4:30 am to 9 am??? That's a pretty long shift for a TV news team.

Re: Channel 2 Morning Anchor Changes

What a downgrade for Kathy Muneno... wasn't she a weekday weather anchor at KITV a few years ago?

With KGMB and KHNL merging, I think it's time for KHON and KITV to "shake things up" as well.

Re: KGMB - KHNL - KFVE "shared services agreement"

According to the local news articles, ONLY FOUR (4) people from KHNL's on-air staff will remain: Stephanie Lum, Mari-Ela David, Minna Sugimoto... and WHO ELSE?

All other KHNL anchors/reporters,...

Re: KGMB - KHNL - KFVE "shared services agreement"

Re: KGMB - KHNL - KFVE "shared services agreement"

Hmmm if those laid off want to work at other TV stations in this market (i.e. KITV or KHON), on-air positions are possible, but sorta limited... unless they entirely revamp their anchor line-up...

Re: KGMB - KHNL - KFVE "shared services agreement"

I hope those laid-off WILL land their feet at KITV and/or KHON. Keep some of those on-air! As for Howard, maybe he could go back to KITV and anchor the 10pm news with Paula Akana... I'm just saying.

Re: KGMB - KHNL - KFVE "shared services agreement"

So, KGMB was actually the one losing money despite the ratings. I guess it took a lot of sacrifice to start up with a morning newscast (especially expanding the time slot from 4:30am - 8am... the...
