Re: Hawaii TV News Anchors and Reporters - Book 4

Folksy newswoman Marissa on KHON2 delivered the 6pm news tonight using a "casual friendly" approach, when reporting on an injury story:

    "Two little kids were injured....".

"Little kids" ... THAT'S THE BEST THAT KHON2 NEWS CAN SCRIPT on a weekend?
Now run along and play, but don’t get into trouble.

Dudley is her maiden name. IIRC, she's married to Kaimi Judd.

Google says Yes! Don't know about "former".

Who is the new sports guy on HNN? I noticed yesterday while watching the 5pm newscast. I think he was a new face since he was wearing a lei and I had not seen him on HNN before.

Reason I said former is he's no longer retrieveable through the online UH directory. Googled some more and found that he's listed now as an emeritus professor, which doesn't necessarily mean that he's not still teaching.

Three sports guys are a lot for a local news station. Is either Mike Cherry or Chris Tanaka leaving?

Did Joe Moore do an April Fool's Day joke when he had to read this story?

Shawn Ching is dropping TV, going back to full time lawyering (Erika story in today's Star Advertiser). And guess what? His wife's name is Stephanie Lum. No, not co-anchor SL.

There was a correction later on added to the story:

CORRECTION: Shawn Ching's wife is Stephanie Ching. Her maiden name was Uechi. A previous version of this story and the story on page B2 in today's paper said that her maiden name was Stephanie Lum, identical to the name of a Hawaii News Now anchor.
