OK, Downtown and Lake Union make sense, as each area puts on a big fireworks display (although, if you are on a rooftop in certain neighborhoods, you can see both displays), but the Airport Area? That one stumps me. Perhaps there are a number of suburban displays visible in the area, if you are on the top floor of the airport parking garages?

This year, we'll see the Downtown display from across Puget Sound, as I'm playing in a Hawaiian-music band at a party on an island that night. For us, New Year's Eve is a bigger fireworks deal because we live a mile from the Space Needle, and that's the night of their show. I've only been in Hawai`i on New Year's Eve once - I would guess that no one else in the U.S. does NYEve as noisily as you do in the Islands (to the great misfortune of those who have respiratory issues.)

Leo, years ago, when I was about 8 we went to the Seattle Airport, before all the security and everything was there. And laid on the van to watch 4th of July Fireworks. I know it has nothing to do with this information but I rememmber it very clearly, the planes booming over and the fireworks. It was cool.
I don't know where you would see them now, BUT 25 years ago BEFORE security gates and all that it was cool!

          Aloha!

...and little do they know that the temp approaches 110 with 3 percent humidity at this time of year here in Las Vegas! It's so hot here, the chickens are layin' hard boiled eggs! Heh heh...

Hey, Blue! How goes it? I saw your road trip report, it was fantastic! How are you liking your new location? I hope you are settled in, and lovin' it!

Me, still "stuck in Vegas", but am working on this condo, and will prolly be renting it out, then going to Hawaii anyway. The market is sooo bad, that it didn't sell. So, I'm "reworking" my plans here.

I like it here Hope. Thanks for asking. Pretty sad we just had to give away our doggy. But otherwise good.

(I will be quiet now as not to throw the thread off track! )

I would be interested to see the Williamsburg Fireworks, they are only about 30 minutes away from me.
