Talking SilverSurfer73 in SD

Aloha all Geo-ohana,

I am checking in here to let you all know that all is well here in western South Dakota. We are settled in and enjoyed the holidays. The family and I are adjusting to the climate change well. We have swings of high temps from the teens (less than 20 F) to a sudden warm trend, unseasonably, of the mid 50's. Some snow, learning to drive in it is fun the Focus... .

We have ventured about and visited the Wall Pharmacy (look it up--sounds dull, but lots of fun) and made the drive to Mount Rushmore. It was a marvelous sight and impressive.

As for caching, I have yet to even turn my GPSr on!!! Work and all is making it hard to bare the cold to find one yet. Can't wait though. I am glad to read that you all are up to your usual fun in the sun and many still log my caches.

Thanks KonaKoffee and Geogerms for keeping them going.
TGB, I hope the gang enjoys the Kitty Rescue...

See you all on here,

SS73.

For what it's worth -- I have extended family in Wakonda, SD (in your general area, given how spread out things are in that part of the world). If you need 'local' information or connections, send me an email and I'll set you up with some locals...

At 11:45 am, it is currently 37 F, feels like 25F with the 25-35 mph winds from the north! 60% chance of snow this afternoon... get to finally try out my snow tires
Next 10 days it isn't expected to get over 40F.

Caches will have to wait for warmer temps.

My new email is paul_nicki10@hotmail.com
Keep in touch, and best of luck on this years CITO. Wish I could be there for it. I will hopefully find my first cache before too long.

And TGB, I am hoping my best for Brett and a possible rematch with the "boys"... I can redeem myself from the night at D&B...

Paul
