If "Deep Impact" which came out a couple of years ago was made into a sequel "2012" would be THAT Movie.
Seperating itself from the memorable "Independance Day" which we the humans must combat those darn aliens 2012 relies heavily like everyone has mentioned is the Special Effects. The usual setup and sets of characters you get to know and get aquainted with. Seeing the chain of events when it actually goes down was alarming but its a WHAT IF scenario when the day does come around. Though 2012 does not outdo ID4 it was don't wanna say dumb movie overall but the movie kept my attention while watching.
