Default The Perfect Getaway

Has anyone seen The Perfect Getaway? I've heard it's a thriller that was filmed largly along the Na Pali coast of Kauai. It's not playing here in Park City yet and I'm dying to see it.

Red face Re: The Perfect Getaway

Actually, they spent less than a day on Kauai filming some aerials and establishing shots. The vast majority of the movie was filmed in Puerto Rico, which has much more aggressive government incentives for film and TV production. I guess if Puerto Rico looks good enough in the movie, and folks associate the scenery -- but not serial killers -- with Kauai, it's all the same in the end.

That movie looks like a wait till it's on cable for viewing. I've seen that plot of hikers getting killed one by one many times before.

Probably why it hasn't made it to my town yet. Oh well, I was hoping to see some good shots of Kauai which was why I was interested. With this much enthusiasm it'll probably be on cable in a couple of weeks.

I saw it and enjoyed it. Knowing what I know now, I still would've gone to see it.

There's an ad for the movie...

"There's nothing more beautiful than the Na Pali coast. You really should see it before you die."

Ha, thought that was funny.

That's not really the plot, but it does feature hikers.
