I loved the latest episode, until they left Hiro stranded again.
The scene with his mother was cool, though! I hope he can regain his powers. If he doesn't, Hiro's visit to the future in the beginning of the season makes sense. Ando is on his way to getting a synthetic ability. Hiro may not regain his ability if Arthur is dead permanently. Perhaps he is the one who holds onto the formula in the hope that they can come up with a way to create a time travel formula for him. And in that case Ando may end up in the camp of getting rid of the formula at some point. I watched the next episode preview a couple of times (the one they show right after the episode's closing credits), and I'm pretty sure I saw Hiro in a kitchen, dodging an assailant who appeared to be holding a Japanese sword. The precog guy in Africa told Hiro he relied on his powers too much. I guess this was in the works! Last edited by Vanguard; December 9th, 2008 at 02:39 PM. |

You guess?
I find the show becoming as dumb as 'Lost'. The plot meanders through a morass of ever-increasing convolutions and digressions. It seems the only message is, "Soaps may be complicated, but we offer a show even more complicated (like 'Lost'), in case you were bored doing something else." The cast has 'special powers', but no power to do anything worthwhile because they're all involved in 'power trips' involving others with 'special powers'. The future is revealed in comic books, the medium is the message/massage, blah, blah, blah. Titillation for it's own sake. 'Dark Shadows' reworked.

So tonight's episode is the end of Volume 3. Peter and Ando got powers now, but not Hiro. Pirmatech is destoryed, the inside of Pinehurst is trashed and while Sylar has a piece of glass jabbed in the back of the head I wouldn't doubt it he comes back in Volume 4.
Speaking of which Volume 4 which starts in February 2, 2009 seems to be about the US government on Nathan's advice to capture all of the powered people. |

It's nice that Michael Dorn might have a recurring role on Heroes. Why don't they just recruit everyone from all the Star Trek shows?
Kate Mulgrew as Sylar's mom? Why not? |

I tried to enjoy season 3, but the writing feels so disjointed now. I'll still give it a chance as I enjoy some of the characters, but I'm not as invested as I was in season 1. |

Well Volume 4 started tonight with government agents attempting to capture most of the characters and then shipping them off to someplace via a C-130 transport plane which is about to crash during a jailbreak.

A little bit of Prison Break, a little bit of 24, a little bit of Lost.
Ando's motorcycle is great! |

I liked this first episode of Season 4. Definitely will get me talking about it at work as it did with Season 1. I remember Season 1 really got you thinking and hypothesizing on whats gonna happen next. Seasons 2 and 3 did not do that for me.
I hope this season blows me away. |

Actually this is still Season 3. It's just that this season got two volumes, volume 3 (fall of 2008) and volume 4 (spring of 2009).

I used to watch this show, but I just couldn't manage to sit through the entire episode this time - the thrill is gone.

Then again, it would be a trip to see Leonard Nimoy cast as Sylar's biological father. Doubtful, though.

I am still noticing that vocal audio gets softer at times, while the background music volume doesn't go down. This is over Oceanic's Channel 8.

The last ep had a sort of X-Men/Genosha feel to it to me.

I'm thinking more like the X-Men/Mutant Regisitration Act without the Sentinels or the government drafting laws about it.
I wonder who is this "Rebel" person who sends text messages to Claire and a fax to Hiro and Ando in India? |

On tonight'a episode, Sylar remembers that his dad killed his mother the same way he kills people with ablities.
I wonder what happen to Hiro and Ando, haven't seen them in the last 3 episodes? |

Leaving the poor stuffed rabbit on Danko's nightstand was a nice touch.
I think Samson will go after Claire. |

Tonight's episode felt kind of disjointed at times, but at least it was shown who was Rebel.
Toward the end of the epsiode where Matt starts to fly make me first wonder that perhaps it was Sylar making himself as Matt to get after Daphane. |

Hiro, Ando, and Matt Jr were funny. It seems Bryan Fuller is the only writer who can depict Hiro and Ando properly (especially Hiro). I hope we see more of this! Their story is continued in this week's graphic novel. Did you see Tracy "wink" after Danko shattered her? She may be able to reconstitute herself, like Iceman from X-Men. Best episode in a long time. They need to keep Bryan Fuller. Last edited by Vanguard; March 24th, 2009 at 08:02 AM. |
