    Re: Quick intro

I don't know why I don't start my own thread, but oh well.

I'm probably the youngest person here (18 years old), and since Mel transfered the Hawaii radio/tv message board here, then I follow.

I'm what you call a "computer geek" and I'm currently getting my degree in IT at Heald College.

I know some knowledge about the radio (especially about hot939), so I have a lot of history in my young brain.

    And to slick vic:
Nice to hear you back on your old spot again. Even though I don't listen to your night show that much, it's good to hear your voice (in commercials).
How'd I get so white and nerdy?

      Re: Quick intro

      Aloha Nou,
I am glad to be here. Just heard about this forum from Aloha World Ohana Lanai. I can feel the rays of Hawaii's sun and the ocean air just by being here. (In Michigan right now, it is 49 degrees and yesterday it was 82.) Just thought that I would introduce myself and now I am going over to Hawaii Stories.
      A Hui Hou,

I'm occasionally over at soc.culture.hawaii and saw Ryan's HawaiiThreads.com signature. Thought I'd poke around and see what you folks are up to!

          I'm People

          Hello!

I made it to your site and must say you have a very impressive community here. Maybe you can teach me a few things , as I am fairly new to Web design and running a "community" online. I am in Aiea, Hawaii and can mostly be found at http://www.hawaiipeople.net. We are still a blooming community.

Keep up the great work! I'll have to check out your other websites too.

          Aloha,
          People

            Hello all!!

            Very humble first post here...

Local boy from Maui that's an old vet at BBS's over 10 years ago (yah, text only @ 2400 bps!). Got cured of that addiction, but now look at me...

Just checking out this forum which looks like it's geared for...well, anyone.

I guess I'll see you guys around.
If this place becomes a "happening" forum of some sorts you'll soon know me as the wise-cracking person that I am.

            Aloja!

              Re: Quick intro

Last week a co-worker was clearing up stuff and encountered a device she never seen before (her predecessor purchased the stuff in question). She asked me if it was okay to dump. Turns out it was a US Robotics Courier 2400 modem.

              It got dumped.

                  Aloha,

I'm Ale from California. I've lived away from hawaii since 1984 and hope to be able to retire there. I consider myself a Big Islander though I was born and partially raised on Oahu. I'm glad to be here.

I've been seeing the HawaiiThreads button over at HawaiiStories for a while, and thought I'd come over to look around. I'm one of the early adopters over there. You can find me at Linkmeister, where I post random thoughts about national politics and other assorted stories I find while ostensibly doing my real research work.
