The Vegas Line, as reported in the New York Post, had 'Bama -17 on Wednesday, then on Thursday, it ticked down another point to 'Bama -16, which indicated to me that many are taking UH and the points...my guess is not because better are thinking of a UH upset, but simply cause 'Bama won't cover. I'm not sure what the line is now.

The first three weeks of a season are tough to handicap; it seems to me that college football touts are at their best from the fourth week on. Anyway, I really would like to see UH win this game, but there are too many factors at play here going against the 'Bows...mainly, I see the outrageous travel miles to Tuscaloosa, and playing in Central Daylight Saving Time (while still on HST) as being big negatives. Add to that playing in 'Bama, playing in a full house, in a state where college football is a religion on Saturday, I have a feeling that there will be a lot of Roman Coliseum mentality in force...let's beat these guys big-time kind of thing. I hope not. Besides, 'Bama Coach Shula is a class guy I doubt who will run up a score to impress the BCS and because I wouldn't be surprised if 'Bama will return to Honolulu someday to play UH again there..no reason in creating simmering malice, like BYU did with some of their run-up-the-score games against UH in the Edwards era.

In as much as I love Na Koa, my prediction: 'Bama 35 UH 14 to take a 2-1 lead in the overall series.

3-15 Alabama Halftime (they got a safety on us because of a botched snap on a punt that was in the red zone)
UH only 53 yards at the halftime
10-22 3rd quarter... we screwed up on the 1 yard line and fumbled the ball!

Hey Manoa....how's my guess....i knew they would cover the spread....and there was some action in WA state on the bows that drove the spread by nearly 3 points in 48 hours....guarans aunty tittah, u no, da smot one who wen punahou, wen go da indin casinos n bet UH before she wen watch Jrboy play futbol up in Seattle....

I didn't watch the game... but I wish I did. Alabama is a very tough team. I’ve read some props from (sorry, can’t find the link I read) some sports writers saying that Hawaii came in and made Alabama fight for that win. I think Hawaii could’ve won that game, but we’re our own worst enemy. But I’m optimistic about this season. The warriors will come to my town on November 4th, so I can’t wait for that.
