Shaming drivers into slowing down?

Remember the flap a few years ago when DOT placed speed vans on the roads, with radar guns and cameras to catch speeders? A company in the UK has taken this idea a step further: the computer sees your license plate and clocks you with the laser speedgun, looks up your registration info in the database, and immediately flashes your license number and speed on a big road sign, politely asking you to slow down. They've found that almost half the speeding drivers will in fact slow down when they see the sign.

(The other half probably speed up and see how high they can push the number. )

Me? I would probably wreck just trying to figure out if those plate numbers were mine!!
