  • Looking for my Grandmother

    Hi,

I'm looking for my Grandmother, Mary K. Savage. She lives in Honolulu, she's 90 years old and is married to Charlie Savage -- I would love to find her. Mary is pretty much the only family my sister's and I (4 girls) have left. I feel like we're running out of time (she IS 90) -- she is my father's mother. My father passed away 33 years ago and she moved away.

Does anyone have suggestions on how I can begin to look for her? I've checked the phone book, searched Google and Yahoo. purchased information from USA People Search and have checked out arts organizations and non-profits that I thought perhaps she would be involved with...I think she has lived there for 30+ years. She's from San Francisco (where I am -- well, the Bay Area).

Any and all suggestions are more than welcome. Thank you in advance.

According to the Honolulu Star Bulletin archives:

    http://starbulletin.com/97/08/04/community/obits.html

"Mary K. Savage, 88, of Honolulu died July 25 in Queen’s Hospital. She was born in Lahaina. She is survived by husband Charles C. No services."

    Sorry.

If that was your Grandmother, how sad.

You can obtain a death certificate from the Dept of Health, and it will give information that is useful for genealogy as well as the last residence address. You might be able to track more family from that info.

            Nope...1997. No less sad, however.

I sincerely hope that you are ok with what answers HT readers have posted.

If this was your grandmother... I feel sorry for you.

I didn't find out my grandfather on my dad's side passed away until after I did a search for him...

Hope you continue to post to HT and maybe others at HT may have memories of your grandmother they might like to share.
