What a joke this is. It truly highlights the complete lack of logic that is the foundation, indeed the cornerstone, of liberal philosophy.

An action to protect the woodpecker habitat has resulted in a complete destruction of the trees they use. Perhaps nosy bodies should have kept their mouth shut, and nobody would be cutting trees.

The best intentions with the worst results.......so typical. It's tragic. I shouldn't laugh.

If you truly want to save the woodpecker, then we must start serving woodpecker egg omelettes at Denny's. After all, we seem to have plenty of chickens.

Preservation seldom works. Conservation implies procreation. Make more woodpeckers.

That's awesome logic, Tim. It was the people that decided to cut down the trees, not the woodpeckers. Talk about petty!

While we're talking cognitive dissonance, let's not even start in on all the conservative gaffes lately, like the whole war in Iraq to stabilize the middle east... (not to derail your thread there, but "liberals" are not the only ones engaging in activities with unintended consequences)

People in general are selfish. They figure if they ignore the environment, it will go away.

      They're right.

Some people think the power of extinction is greater than the power of evolution.

Were that the truth, do you think Earth would have any life at all?

        Save The Humans.
