The Hawaii Macintosh & Apple Users' Society, Inc. (HMAUS), The
Professional Photographers of Hawaii (PPH) and Kapiolani Community
College, CELTT Department proudly announce Share Your Vision at
Mactoberfest 2006.
This year's Mactoberfest will include the first ever Student
Photography Contest and Exhibit as well as three workshops, a
computer and photo flea market, clinics, door prizes and more. Come
spend a day filled with food, folks and fun!
The HMAUS Mactoberfest 2006 will be held on Sunday, October 29 at the
Kapi'olani Community College. This annual event regularly features a
swap meet, vendor presentations and workshops on Macintosh computer
technology. New this year is the partnership with The Professional
Photographers of Hawaii to present this year's theme, Visioneers.
Event highlights:
* Photography Contest, Display and Awards. Contest details at http://

* A flea market featuring sellers with new and used photo, video,
audio, computer, software and related technology. Sellers entry form

HMAUS will also be giving away door prizes from local and national
vendors.
The Mactoberfest 2006 is open to the public, no entry fee. The 'fest
opens at 9:00 am. The flea market will be held upstairs in the
cafeteria dining room and presentations will be held in the
downstairs auditorium. The swap meet and events will continue until
3:00 pm.

The Share Your Vision Student Photography Contest is being held in
conjunction with the 2006 Mactoberfest, an annual event with computer
and digital imaging workshops, computer and photo help clinics,
vendor exhibits, and a photo and computer flea market. The
Mactoberfest opens at 9:00 am and closes at 3:00 pm. It is free and
open to the public.
Entries are now being taken for this contest which will exhibit the
winners on Sunday, October 29, 2006. There will be four age
categories and winners will receive valuable photography and
technology prizes and an award certificate. Winners will be presented
with their awards at Noon. Winning entries will be on exhibit from
Noon to 3:00 pm.
Students may submit up to two photographs for competition on the day
of competition, between 9:00 am and 11:00 am or mail them in advance.
