RE: Hawaiian Music Conference Series 2006, November 11, 2006
Konia Room 108 & 109, Kamehameha Schools Campus

What is Hawaiian Music? Ask any one and you will get a different answer. Most will agree Hawaiian music is unique to Hawaii.

The Hawaii Island Economic Development Board (HIEDB), the Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts (HARA) and Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) present the Hawaiian Music Conference Series 2006 to educate and share the business of music.

Come learn the music business from those who make the music in the islands like songwriters Keli’i Tau’a and Kenneth Makuakane. Recording Engineer Gaylord Holomalia will share how best to prepare yourself for the recording studio and learn how to protect your songs, from Entertainment Lawyers Bill Meyer and Mark Bernstein.

Our Keynote speaker will be “Who da Guy” Ron Jacobs whose radio career spans from December 1953 to present. He has shaped and molded not only radio in the islands, but the Top 40 radio format used around the county. Ron will share his great wisdom and memories of radio in Hawaii over lunch.

Join us at Konia Hall, Room 108 & 109 of the Kamehameha Schools Campus on November 11, 2006 for this once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from the masters in the Music industry.

Registration is $75.00 and includes lunch and all conference materials, space is very limited. To register call (808) 935-2180.

Mahalo nui loa to Mesa Airlines for their support of Hawaii’s music industry.
