Wit' squid luau that uses Tako, not squid.

and wit' salty stuffs like dry fish (Ahi, not Aku), Lomi Salmon and smoked meat.

My madda' eat poi wit' everyting if she get.

I swear, da' Taro Brand poi stay getting mo' tin (thin) every year. Pretty soon going be "ready to eat" texture, no need add watah.. fo' da' same price.

fresh poi: with deep fried kole.
fuzzy poi: with ake (bloody and choke chili pepper) and 'opihi. If in season and can get wana, better yet.

Fresh poi with a healthy serving of aku poke....nothing but salt and inamona..little limu kohu on the side....WINNAH!

Poi pancakes! There's an idea We got a bread mix for taro bread a while back that was pretty yummy. It baked purple.

I prefer it fresh, but usually I get it two or 3 days old, or I get it frozen (yuck!) from Zippys.com.

I can eat poi with just about everything. Last night we had Hawaiian-style beef stew--no poi available, though, so we had it with brown rice. So sad...

I love eating poi and sardines, abalone, dried aku, upelu, hamburger, corned beef, steak, you name it!
