I hope all you HTers on O'ahu are out and about supporting all the events for Maoli Arts Month this month!
The Native Hawaiian Street Festival on Nu'uanu St. on Saturday featured over 20 native Hawaiian crafters, food vendors and entertainers. I was in heaven and managed to pick up a few pieces as an early Mother's Day present to myself. I love to buy art directly from the artists themselves so that you can talk to them about their work and also, get them to autograph your pieces.
It's not too late so please support Native Hawaiian artists by attending the final events for the month.
