My dad passed 4 years ago but I still acknowledge him on Fathers Day. I make him a card and send it to him via the ocean along with a lei. Then, I update his blog with, hopefully, a funny memory! That's not difficult as almost all the memories of my dad make me laugh!
Every year we make cards for my hubby and make him breakfast and all that good stuff. I usually take the kids to WalMart and let them find a gift for him, they come up with the funniest things!
One year my son bought him a BUCKET, he KNEW DAD would need one! so we bought a bucket!
His birthday folllows shortly.
And we call and send a card to hubby's dad. The kids make Happy Fathers Day cards for him too!
I haven't seen my own dad in 5 years , and never will again. So we focus on my husband.

I love this idea Tutu, my Dad passed away a long time ago and I have always felt a little left out when Father's day comes around, never knowing quite what to do to honor him. I do miss him...

Yesterday marked seventeen years since my father's passing. In a sick twist of fate, that year, June 16th was also Father's Day.
Little LL at 7 years old and Daddy
He was the greatest daddy ever!
Tessie, "Nuf Ced" McGreevey shouted
We're not here to mess around
Boston, you know we love you madly
Hear the crowd roar to your sound
Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you
Tessie, you are the only only only
Good to hear Leo! And Happy Father's Day to you!
I am glad she called!
Hubby spent the day sleeping (my gift to him) until 2:30pm. Then He was presented with his 10 cards! LOL
And we gave him some work shirts and then I made him some chicken sandwiches and Hamburgers, then he took the boys tot eh park for over and hour (his gift to me!)
And I took a nap!
(: Then we took a country drive and called his Dad.
Oh and his friend called from Oregon and said Happy Father's day man, I love you!...good stuff.
Aww Auntie Lynn, what a precious pic and looks like you honored the two most important men in your life.
My daddy passed away in '86 at the young age of 59 cuz of dang cigarettes and a high fat diet. I honor him by looking at pics, phoning others that were close to him and had the same level of love and respect I did, and I have a wonderful trip down memory lane. We were very close and no matter how many years pass I'll always be very thankful.
I hope every Father reading this had a great day, and were spoiled a bit, and even spoiled yourselves. Blessings and huggz~
