525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear. 525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year?
I have the LP around here somewhere. Never saw the movie.
yup, that's it. it was a GREAT movie way back when and the soundtrack was just so sweet. i'm surprised that places like diamond head video don't have a copy (well, maybe cuz it's only on vhs as far as i know)...

I kinda remember a scene with the intro to Pipeline Sequence with this massive wall of water rising up in slow motion. The build up and the accompanying musical score made for one intense footage of how huge these waves can get...literally five stories tall, hence the title.

I was completely into all the surfing movie soundtracks! Especially Dick Dale's music! I just dated myself!
Greg MacGillivray and I share the same home town. We lived a coupla blocks apart when he made this movie and we even hung out (not together!) at the same beach with spouses and children in tow. His house just happened to be right on that beach. Mine wasn't! A blast from the past!
Does anyone know if Five Summer Stories was shot on 35mm? If so, was it the first surfing movie shot on 35? Just curious.

anyone remember Hot Lips and Inner Tubes? I went to see it at the Kaimuki Theater in 1977 and was so disappointed it was shot on 16mm and viewed on the big screen.
