Marty Dread has rescheduled his "Concerts On The Crater" show for Maui Future Arts at Alelani to October 27th.
August 26, 2007 - The next show at Alelani will be Saturday night, September 1st, when recent Hoku winning slack key artist Pekelo Cosma will perform as part of the benifit concert series, "Concerts on The Crater", for Maui Future Arts at Alelani, in Kula. John Moore will open the night at 5:30pm and Pekelo will play from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Donations/Reservations for this special acoustic and slack key show are $50.00 -- which includes: parking, entertainment, pu pu's, and non-alcoholic beverages, and are available at http://www.MauiFutureArts.org or by calling 808-878-8714. Maui Future Arts at Alelani is located at 14801 Haleakala Highway, about a half a mile below the Kula Lodge.
Bring your own "B" and ranch picnic. Beach chairs and blankets are welcome.
Maui Future Arts at Alelani is a new non profit Music and Cultural Education Center founded by Peggy Baldwin, Bennet Baldwin, Roger Clay, and Jonathan Block. Classes in Kula will be taught by local musicians, start in January of 08, and will be free to qualifying students.
Ranch attire/dress warmly/Closed toe shoes please.
