  • real estate test prep

    Hi,
I was wondering what the best way to prepare for the Hawai'i real estate salesperson exam. Has anyone had any experience? I want to know what to expect on the test and what the recommended study procesdures are. Thanks

Read "Land & Power in Hawaii". Twice.
Then drink two straight shots of 20 yr old Scotch.

(At least I think that was the name of the book)

I took John Stapleton's course decades ago (1979!). He was excellent at prepping students for the test. I don't know who the instructor du jour is.

And, as for the 2 shots of 20 year old scotch...that's good advice. That test kicks okole!

Any of the RE schools will get you to pass the test. Do tons of questions out of books you can buy at Borders and such places. The more questions you practice on, the better you get at it. Then take all the questions you got wrong, and make a "custom" test out of just those questions, until you know the answer to every question by heart.

And after you pass the test, go to work for C-21, or any other BIG outfit, to get the training you need. There's lots more to the RE biz than just passing the test.
