Re: Does Anyone have Cricut?
This Cricut device looks to be pretty much a miniaturized cutting plotter.
As far as uses, this brings to mind a type of 3-dimensional paper art I once seen in a local gallery a few years ago. It wasn't Kirigami, but a complex multi-layered build-up of same, to slightly varying cut shapes and colors of paper that depicts anything from a human portrait, to animals to famous buildings and landmarks. Each layer of paper is set upon spacers to create that 3-D effect. The finished "piece" is set in a glass-covered frame. Really fascinating.
You could probably do that type of layered paper 3-D art with this machine, albeit on a basic level.sigpic The Tasty Island
