    I'm just curious. I keep seeing the infomercial.

    I guess not. Is that the thing that can make die-cut vinyl letters? If so Speedtek had something like that.

      This Cricut device looks to be pretty much a miniaturized cutting plotter.

      As far as uses, this brings to mind a type of 3-dimensional paper art I once seen in a local gallery a few years ago. It wasn't Kirigami, but a complex multi-layered build-up of same, to slightly varying cut shapes and colors of paper that depicts anything from a human portrait, to animals to famous buildings and landmarks. Each layer of paper is set upon spacers to create that 3-D effect. The finished "piece" is set in a glass-covered frame. Really fascinating.

      You could probably do that type of layered paper 3-D art with this machine, albeit on a basic level.

        wish i did, but it's too expensvie. i keep seeing it on an infomercial, at walmart and sam's club.

          Vinyl or any paper/sheet material that can fit through.
