  • Moana Surfrider Hula Performer?

This is a long shot, but maybe you can help me.

About 2 years ago we were sitting under the Banyan tree in the Moana Surfrider courtyard for the evening show. The headliners were a Hawaiian songstress/hula dancer and her haole husband on the electric ukulele and young sons also hula. Anyway, part of their show they introduced "Hawai'i's First Lady of Hula." She was an elderly, stout woman who appeared to be part Asian. She wore a yellow hula dress with orange pantaloons. She danced to "Sophisticated Hula" and others. She was charming, darling, and a crowd pleaser with lots of Aloha spirit. Who was she? We cant get her off our minds.

I apologize if the answer is: "there must be a thousand acts like that in Honolulu." We sure would like to catch her act again. Very memorable.
