It's that time of year again where the Hawaii Foodbank, through a generous donor, the The Harry C. & Nee Chang C. Wong Foundation, will match all donations made in the name of specific agencies using their services, such as the Kau Kau Wagon. The fundraising effort culminates in the Annual Hunger Walk on August 30th.
If you are able to donate before July 31st, it would be greatly appreciated, because the matching funds will help the Kau Kau Wagon immensely . . . this is the fundraiser that essentially helps to sustain Kau Kau Wagon through the year in getting food items to support their weekly outreach to the homeless and hungry of Oahu.
To help make sure the "red tape" of it all works:
If you do choose to donate, it might help if you could please send an e-mail to KauKauWagon@aol.com (with any info you'd like to share as: the amount donated and check #) . . . that way, at the end of the event, Kau Kau Wagon will know what to expect and help make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Remember...your donation is tax deductible. Please send it in designating in the memo area:
