Duke's Waikiki will host an audition (only 16-18 category) for the Duke's Ukes Contest this Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 9 a.m. at the Diamond Head room at Duke's restaurant.
WHAT:
Duke’s Waikiki 3rd Annual Duke’s Ukes Contest Auditions for the 16-18 year old category. Contestants within the ages of 16-18 are invited to show-off their skills at the second and final Duke’s Ukes Contest auditions. Open to non-professional ukulele players, the contest will feature four separate age categories in which participants can compete. The winner of each category will receive a brand new Kamaka Ukulele among other prizes.
The Duke’s Ukes Contest, which will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on September 27, 2008, is sponsored in part by Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach, the Pacific Music Foundation, and Kamaka Ukuleles. Participation is free.
