  • 'Bizarre Foods' in Hawaii

I just put on the Travel Channel (325 on my tv), and 'Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern' is on, and he's featuring Hawaii. Cool! So far they've shown preparing an imu and pig and poi pounding, and heiai (sp?) which I just learned is octopus.

He gotta try dinuguan! Filipino's pig's blood.

      My brother-in-laws love that stuff.

I don't get why everyone thinks poi is so weird. Is it the purple color or the goo texture? Because honestly, it doesn't really have a taste. And everyone wigs about about it, like it's cow eyeballs or something.

Can't think of anything creative this time

I saw his PI episode. Stopped watching it when he started implying that Balut and the other bizzare foods he was eating were ALL that Filipinos eat.
