I just wanted to share this.

I was doing a engagement photo shoot on Kauai and had my girlfriend video it. We finally through together a cool promo video i use for my photography. After doing this it gave me the bug to start doing more video like this, just so clients can kinda see a session first hand. It was fun.

Check it out:

Yes, a cool promo video idea but also a fun memento for the couple of a special day leading up to a special day! As a potential client I think I'd like to see a little more of your interaction with the couple; a little more of your personality. And please tell me you had a bucketload of sunscreen on! :D

I chuckled at you having to move back and forth to find the gap in the hammock to shoot though.

I was disappointed at the end - twice I saw you lying down to get a shot form a low angle, but the still use was from a high angle.

Clearly your GF is into you. It shows in the video. It's about you and not about you working with your models. That is to say, I agree with TS.

I agree. This was my GF's first try at it, and she put the whole thing together in iMovie 09. I advised her on the next to get more of the couple and interaction and to try to match the pics better.

But i'm just super impressed with her doing this all on her own for me. she watched imovie tutorials online and figured it out all on her own. :D

I enjoyed your page and the video very much.
And that couple... awww, too cute!

If I hear of anyone needing your services, will definitely point them your way.

Um...wait....You mean that this couple hired you to take a film and pictures of the time he popped the question? Not the wedding, but just the proposal?

She must've guessed, for sure.

It's cute and all, but some people have way too much $$$.

Of course, with the guy's haircut, I'm guessing he's in the service, and about to be shipped off to somewhere far away.

I was aware that it was your GF's first attempt which prompted my first sentence!!! She did a great job. I just now realized you weren't asking for reviews or suggestions so I apologize for mine! Regardless, I like the video a lot and think it's a great concept.

Susie? Why so much judgement without all the facts?

no... they hired me cause they were getting getting married. so we did a "engagement shoot", which is basically just a fun shoot of the couple together. It doesn't necessarily mean they just got engaged during the shoot. then the next day they were married on the beach.

they didn't pay for any video work. we just did that for fun. They paid for this shoot and the wedding shoot the next day.

Yes he is Air Force, but stationed in Alaska. They came to Hawaii to get married.

Ah! NOW I understand! This was really wedding pictures. No wonder there was no 'bended knee' shot, or close-up of the ring....or of her surprised and maybe tearful face.
