It's that time of year again when we all pay homage to the sun god Rah.
The 'sun god' has many names in various cultures. June 21+/-, the summer solstice, the highest North the Sun goes as the Earth completes its tilted circuit of the sun is important in so many ways, to all those cultures.
Even modern secular culture should not forget that from tomorrow on the days will be getting shorter again. June 21 is the longest day (in terms of sunlight) in the Northern year.
Cherish the sunlight. Note the spot in your garden, yard, etc., at noon where the sun casts a solstice shadow pointing South. I have a sidewalk the sun touches once a year, around sidereal noon. Like the tick of a clock. It sets the tempo of our lives, whether or not we realize it.
