  • Terro ant bait

www.terro.com is touted as the best anti-ant remedy available, and I hear it is sold at Longs.

Most hardware stores sell Terro too. And yes, it works great!

              Wal-Mart too.

It's worked great with the sweet-eating ants, but not always as well with the grease-eating ones. I usually have to add some drippings for those little guys.

I've been told that the termite exterminator's Termidor also cuts down on ant populations for a few months.

I started with Terro, but moved on to Dead Fast. The chalk-like stuff works quick. Just draw a few lines in an ant trail and they're all gone in 30 minutes. Terro is interesting to watch though.

Hit 'em with all you got.

Use Dead Fast to protect an area and deny ants and roaches access.
To eliminate colonies, Terro is great (in either the clear baits or the bottle), but the lil black Glaber ants have numerous colonies working the same area, so they'll keep you busy.
I also use Pic, sold in Longs and hardware stores, and it works well, too; some ants go for the Pic and some go for the Terro, must be the sweet vs. grease preference.

                          Re: Terro ant bait

We've been super-invaded again - Glaber ants. Thousands in each colony, made our white shelves black.

Used the Terro ant baits in the clear, flat plastic containers where you trim off a red portion of the packet and place it in the ants path. They went for it like crazy, climbed inside and drank. After 3 days that infestation was GONE! I only had to vacuum up the dead.

The bottle and cardboard Terro didn't work quite so well, the baits were great!
