I got lucky, found three-in-a-row. One by Walker Percy, one by John O'Hara (haven't read him in decades, but he's better than I remembered) and one by Barbara Pym.
It's such a relief not to read one of these (paid by the word?) writers who spend a page or more describing every street they turn down as they are heading to the next big scene ....
... and even more of a relief not to get paragraphs ... or pages ... describing in great detail how their characters had sex together. I mean, there are only so many ways and combinations possible. If we're lucky, we've experienced them already; if less lucky we have at least read about them. More times than we'd wish.
Give it up! Just let us know your characters had sex together and get on with the story, as did the three I mentioned in opening.
