For once I'm in total agreement with Ron. They played two killer shows at the Concert Hall a few years ago (one of which I attended) and I was all ready to plunk down the cash again for this one. The Arena? No thank you.

And I think it's ridiculous to call them "alternative." They're metal. Progressive metal, if you must qualify it, but metal.

I am sooo happy that the date and location have been announced! I love Tool, but I've been sitting on this info for over 6 weeks, and it hasn't been easy!! And now we have a thread for it!! I can't wait!! I'm totally overexcited!! But, ummmmmmm, Blaisdell? For Tool? Bad choice! The Waikiki shell would be a perfect venue for them,...but whatevs! I've seen them in parking lots and loved it! Never been to a concert at Blaisdell, but I know that Tool's rigging crew and FOH techs are awesome, and Its gonna be the best they can do with what they got! Kick. Ass.

Meh! That just makes me want to come visit in Jan even MORE! It's been two years since I moved there and I want to come back for this. THAT would be an awesome Christmas pressie.
