Encountered a set of games called Munchkin by Steven Jackson Games, the base game seems to be a parody of the dungeon and dragon genre.

Has anyone played this game or any other variations from The World of Munchkin (http://www.worldofmunchkin.com/) series?

I purchased the base Munchkin game some years ago and played it once with two other people.

The game series has a running joke with "you start off as a level 1 human with no class".

At this point in time there are 15 games which are:

Munchkin (base game - on the Dungeons and Dragons genre)
Star Munchkin (space opera)
Munchkin Fu (martial arts)
Munchkin Bites! (horror - vampire)
Super Munchkin (superhero)
Munchkin Impossible (spy)
Munchkin Cthulhu (horror)
The Good, The Bad, and The Munchkin (western)
Munchkin Booty (pirate)
Munchkin Zombies (horror)
Munchkin Axe Cop
Munchkin Conan
Munchkin Apocalypse (end of the world)
Munchkin Legends (a collection of various fantasy stories)
Munchkin Pathfinder

The game tends to parody common things and tries to twist it in a humorous way. For instance in the base Munchkin game there is a card that says a 11 foot pole (based on the saying "I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole").
