  • Ractopamine a new food additive

This chemical is added to animal feed to produce a leaner grade of meat.
Unfortunately the animals fed this substance produce food that confers anxiety
to those consuming these drug tainted products.

Primarily pigs; to a lesser degree, cattle.

Anxiety? ANXIETY??? WTF do you mean anxiety?? I'm fine, fine, just fine. Keep your hands off my kalua pork, and pass the klonapin, OK?

(Anxiety? What do they know, I'm fine! They're paranoid, that's what it is, paranoia!)

Alberto Contador was the three time winner of the
          Tour de France.
His title was disputed because traces of clenbuterol were detected in
          the results.
Clenbuterol has chemical structure akin to the thread topic.
He merely ate steak and was disqualified because of
          food contamination.

Well, that would cause anxiety, I would think.

oh yeah - thats right. Tour de France riders aren't allowed to use any kind of drugs. How could I forget that?

Clenbuterol is/was also used as an ingredient in animal food to promote
                leaner meat.
From what I've read the cyclist was tired and hungry and offered a nice lunch.
The beef had an uncertain provenance and probably was smuggled across the border.
It's worth noting that ractopamine is banned in China.
Famed for bad baby food and pet food.
This chemical is a bit too close to known psychotropics to be allowed anywhere
                near the food supply.
