  • Fuego erupts in Guatemala

One of five ,the large volcano roared back to life.
It is not known if the airport at the capital was involved.

not sure of roaring back to life, it has had constant activity since 2002.

    Airport in the City

Guatemala's national emergency commission issued an advisory, warning plane not to fly within a 25-mile radius of the mountain, although La Aurora international airport in Guatemala City remained open. Although no evacuation have been ordered by the government, if the activity of Fuego increases then, it would be the first step that they would take.

Thanx for the links TAT, there are so many volcanoes blasting and chuffing away
that it is hard to keep track of all of them.
One of my all time favorites is Mount Erebus in Antarctica.
With some ingenuity some mighty nice hot-tubs could be installed using geothermal heat.

      local zoning laws prohibit this.
Meanwhile, nearby, on deception island, warm springs actually exist.

The Penguins retained the ability to walk long distances and survive extreme cold.
The trade off was losing the ability to fly through the air like most birds.
However, the ability to swim was their survival tool.
