Hawaii ranks 19th highest in the US in beer consumption per person for 2012 (age 21+):
Hawaii: 30.4 Per Capita Consumption (Gallons)
Highest was North Dakota at 45.8 gal
Lowest was Utah at 20.2 gal.
It is interesting to observe the different dynamics that happen with parties in Hawaii when comparing alcohol vs alcohol-free parties. My casual observations are that a non-drinker will sit it out for hours at an alcohol-allowed party, but a drinker loses interest at an alcohol-free party pretty soon after the food is pau.
