Future of Tuvalu threatened

Scientists believe that the sinking of Tuvalu can be attributed to environmental reasons...global warming, greenhouse gas, etc. This is the same plight that Nicobar and Andaman Islands in the Indian Ocean suffered before the problem was exacerbated by the last tsunamis. Are the inhabitants of these threatened islands less important than those in the industrialized countries who insist on being greedy consumers of natural resources like oil?
